Framework V2 Updates - May 2020

ATLAS web has added a few new features to the framework websites.

  • Featured image captions placements:  You now have three options for where to place your captions on featured images.  You can choose to put them on the left, right, or centered when creating featured images. The centered option is the default option.

You can update these settings in the Featured Image content type under Feature Image Box Location. For more information, see our help documentation.

  • Hero Image content type: We’ve also added a new (optional) content type. The Hero Image is similar to Featured Image, except there’s no slideshow. It is a singular image that can be included on your homepage and will span the width of the screen. You can include a title with the option of linking that title to a page within your site.

If you would like to include a Hero Image in place of the Featured Image on your site, you will need to contact atlas-web@illinois.edu to enable it. From there, you can go to Content>Add Content> Hero Image, and add your image, title, and link as you would for Featured Image. Keep in mind that the image you choose will have to be fairly large since it will span the width of the entire page (1920px wide preferably). For more information, see our help documentation.
